Residents of Strovolos were shocked after discovering a half-open coffin abandoned next to a garbage bin in the municipality.
A social media user who posted a photo of the coffin wrote, “God have mercy, what else will we see in this municipality. I was shocked, truly…” The post quickly drew numerous comments online, eliciting mixed reactions from users ranging from disbelief, to shock, to amusement.
With no one inside, the abandoned coffin left residents questioning whether it was a logistical error, a very macabre prank, or simply a reason to reconsider their choice of neighborhood.
