Health Ministry announces 199 new cases

Cyprus hospitals are currently treating 82 coronavirus patients, 19 of which are in critical condition

The Health Ministry on Thursday announced 199 coronavirus cases on Tuesday, marking a steady increase in the number of daily cases. Total coronavirus cases reached 33,909.

No coronavirus fatalities were recorded, with the death toll remaining steady at 231.

The new cases emerged after 28,461 tests were conducted. Among new cases, 100 involved people who tested positive to a rapid test.

The remaining 64 were contacts, two were airport arrivals, 27 were people who took the initiative to get tested, six were tested at a general hospital, while two were tested via rapid test at private labs.

Cyprus hospitals are currently treating 82 coronavirus patients, 19 of which are in critical condition.

20 patients are in the Famagusta general hospital, four of which are in the ICU. The Nicosia general hospital is also treating 24 patients, 13 of which are in the ICU. 37 more coronavirus patients are at the Limassol general hospital where two are in the ICU, while one is at the Makario hospital in Nicosia.
