A warm front is heading back to the island by the end of the week, with temperatures trending upwards ahead of a hot weekend.
Weather officials say a low pressure system is still affecting the area, with mostly clear skies during the middle of the week but also increasing clouds in the afternoon.
Increasing clouds in the afternoon are expected over local areas, out west and in the north on Wednesday, while scattered clouds will mainly appear over the mountains on Thursday.
Humidity is expected to rise as air will become noticeably warmer due to a passing warm front over the weekend

Scattered clouds will mainly appear over the mountains on Thursday, with maximum highs reaching 37° degrees Celsius inland, around 34 in the south and along the eastern coast, 32 in all other coastal regions, while it will be 27 in the mountains.
Friday and weekend weather is expected to be mostly clear with temperatures rising gradually over the three-day period mainly inland and in the mountains. Levels are expected to reach above normal averages for this time of the year.
