Limassol murder-suicide survivor regains consciousness

The 46-year-old woman who was critically injured after being shot by her husband in Limassol has regained consciousness, marking a positive step in her recovery.

Police sources said she remains in the Intensive Care Unit at Nicosia General Hospital, where doctors continue to monitor her condition.

The shooting took place on the morning of June 30. Authorities said the woman's 55-year-old husband, a police officer, shot her before taking his own life.

The case shocked Cyprus and prompted a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. While the woman has regained consciousness, she continues to receive specialist treatment in intensive care.
