Limassol rentals: From pocket change to ''Are you kidding me?''

With studios barely available under €900, one penthouse is listed at €45,000 a month, and yes, it has parking for your supercar.

Forget golden toilets or a private helicopter pad, though for €45,000 a month, you might expect both. That’s the going rent for Cyprus’ most expensive apartment, listed right now in Limassol, according to Bazaraki.

The eye-watering price tag is for a two-story penthouse stretching across 480 square meters, perched on the 11th and 12th floors of a luxury tower. The flat boasts four bedrooms (each with its own bathroom, of course), an office, and three basement parking spots, because heaven forbid your supercar doesn’t have a proper home. And yes, the sea views are thrown in.

The next most expensive rentals in Limassol trail behind at €25,000 a month. Even so, searching with a minimum of €5,000 a month pulls up 213 options in Limassol alone. By comparison, Nicosia manages just three apartments in that price bracket, and places like Larnaca, Paphos, and Famagusta don’t even register.

Meanwhile, down in the “real world,” Bazaraki shows just 35 ads for apartments in Limassol under €900 a month. Those are mostly studios between €450 and €900, plus a few one- or two-bedroom flats. Blink, and they’re gone.

The contrast couldn’t be starker: in the same city, one person could spend nearly half a million euros a year on rent, while others are left scrambling for a tiny studio that doesn’t devour their entire paycheck.

In a housing market this wild, Limassol might just be proving that the sky’s the limit, especially if your wallet is bottomless.
