The glitter is officially on! Amaryllis Kyriakou has been crowned Queen of the Limassol Carnival 2026, taking the dramatic title of “Queen of Passion and Madness of the Limassol Carnival,” the Limassol Municipality announced Thursday evening.
Kyriakou is no stranger to the parade route. She first joined the Carnival in 1985 as an escort to the Carnival King with the late Lula Seasmith, and over the years she’s danced, organized, and wowed crowds alongside various collaborators. Since 2005, she’s been leading her own groups in the Great Carnival Parade, infusing each float and performance with her unmistakable flair, creativity, and passion.
The municipality hailed her appointment as a nod to decades of dedication and “inexhaustible talent in carnival creation,” celebrating her as one of the city’s most vibrant carnival personalities.
With the crown now on her head, Limassol is ready for a 2026 Carnival season that promises more color, energy, and spectacle than ever, under the spirited reign of Amaryllis Kyriakou.
