Military flyovers scheduled for Tuesday morning as part of parade rehearsals.

Low-flying aircraft will be seen over Nicosia on Tuesday, September 29, as the National Guard carries out rehearsals ahead of the Republic of Cyprus’ Independence Day military parade.

The flyovers are scheduled for around 11 a.m., according to an announcement by the National Guard General Staff.

The exercise is part of the preparations for the military parade taking place on October 1, marking the 66th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Cyprus.

Residents in Nicosia may therefore notice aircraft flying at low altitude over the capital during the morning rehearsal.

The National Guard said the activity is planned as part of the parade preparations and assured the public that there is no cause for concern.
