A foreign national who was arrested last year in Paphos on child porn charges and later released has been extradited to Cyprus on a new warrant.
Cypriot police officers flew to Finland to bring back a 60-year-old male, described as a British national with a residence in Paphos. The suspect, who was arrested upon landing at Larnaca International Airport on Tuesday, was wanted twice by police on child porn charges.
According to a police statement, the suspect was initially arrested last year, 1 November 2018, following the execution of a house search warrant where he was detained on child pornography allegations.
Officers confiscated two computers, two mobile phones, an external hard drive, an android TV box, and six additional electronic storage devices.
But police later released the suspect after failing to locate incriminating evidence during a preliminary investigation.

Police said the suspect was spotted on 24 September 2019 in a foreign country and Cypriot officers flew there to escort him back to the Republic of Cyprus.
The Cyber Crime unit is investigating the case while the suspect remains in custody.
