Two delivery drivers were attacked within an hour on Tuesday night in separate incidents in the Limassol District, police said.
The first assault occurred shortly after 10 p.m., when two masked individuals on a motorcycle struck a 24-year-old delivery driver. The driver lost control of his moped and fell, suffering a sprained ankle. The attackers stole his shoulder bag, which contained €100 in cash, and took the moped.
He was treated and released from Limassol General Hospital. The moped was later recovered through GPS tracking and taken to the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department for examination.
Roughly an hour later, around 11:30 p.m., a second delivery driver, 22, was attacked at the intersection of Makariou and Agias Zonis, according to police.
The assailants, also described as masked and riding a motorcycle, allegedly kicked the driver’s motorcycle, knocking him to the ground. He did not sustain serious injuries.
Police are investigating both incidents.
