UPDATE: Police announced Tuesday morning that the missing teenage girl has been found and is reportedly in good health. No further information was provided.
Previously, police were asking the public for help in locating a teenage girl from Nicosia, who had been missing from her home for over 48 hours. Eleftheria Koufou, aged 16, had been missing from her place of residence in Nicosia since she last went out Friday night at 9pm.
Eleftheria was described as being about 1.55m, of medium build, with light brown hair. She was dressed in black at the time of her disappearance and she was carrying a black backpack.
Members of the public who may have any information were asked to call CID Nicosia at 22.802.222 or 22.802.232. They may also contact the nearest police station or dial the Citizen Hotline at 1460.
