A 20-year-old man has been remanded in custody for six days in connection with the robbery of a kiosk in Livadia, following a court order issued by the Larnaca District Court.

The incident took place on Sunday evening at around 7:05 p.m., when a masked individual entered the kiosk with his face covered by a scarf. After moving behind the counter into the cash register area, the suspect allegedly pushed the 71-year-old owner and demanded money. He reportedly took €20 from the register before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police units from the Oroklini Police Station, the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (TAE), and the Larnaca Crime Prevention Unit (OPE) attended the location to carry out examinations. Evidence gathered during the investigation led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for the 20-year-old suspect.

He was later found and arrested at approximately 1:30 a.m. and remains in custody as inquiries continue. The Oroklini Police Station is still handling the case.
