Mother Nature is feeling a bit moody today. She’s bringing us a mix of "Greek drama" from across the sea and a dusty makeover that nobody actually asked for. Here’s the play-by-play for the next few days.
Today, the morning starts with some shy clouds playing hide-and-seek, but don't be fooled. Rain is invited, and a stray thunderstorm might crash the party, especially in the west and north. If you’re high up in Troodos, that rain might decide to turn into snow or sleet. Very chic. The wind starts as a gentle breeze but will get its second wind by the afternoon. Down on the southeast coast, it might even get a little "hair-ruining" (up to 6 Beaufort). Temperatures will be pleasant with 20°C inland, while the mountains stay a chilly 9°C.
Tonight, the plot thickens. As we head toward Wednesday morning, things get a bit more dramatic. Expect more rain and a few "boom-claps" (thunderstorms) starting from the west. If you're thinking of a midnight swim, don't. The waves are getting restless and rough. Dust will be hanging around like an uninvited guest until Wednesday morning.
Wednesday is going to be a "mainly cloudy" kind of day. We’re looking at more rain and the occasional thunderous applause from the sky. The winds will be putting in overtime, so hold onto your hats! Things should start calming down by the afternoon.
Thursday & Friday (the silver lining): Good news! The atmosphere finally goes to therapy. High pressure moves in, bringing back the "good" weather we actually like.
Temperatures will see a tiny dip on Wednesday, but by Friday, we’re heading back up to those cozy, above-average temperatures.
