A serious car accident occurred Monday morning (08/04) on the road from Palechori to Nicosia, specifically the section from Anagia to Dytiki. The road remains closed at this time. One person sustained serious injuries in the accident.
Drivers are urged to use the old Nicosia-Palechori road via Dytiki and Anagia.
For those heading towards Nicosia, please take the old road through the industrial area of Ergaton and Anagia-Dytiki. For drivers heading to Palechori, please use the old road through the left passage of the roundabout near the private football fields and the private school, on the Nicosia-Palechori road.
Police officers are present at the accident site conducting investigations, providing assistance, and regulating traffic flow.
Police advise drivers to exercise caution, drive at a safe speed, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, and follow the instructions of police officers in the area providing assistance and traffic regulation.
