Happy Wednesday! We’re halfway through the week—yaaay! But also, what season is this exactly? Because it’s technically spring, but Cyprus didn’t get the memo. After a winter that overstayed its welcome, the last few weeks have been a rollercoaster: freezing, then boiling, then freezing again. Just last weekend, we were practically melting at 33°C, and now? We’re dropping to 3-4°C in Nicosia. Oh, and of course, rain is back on the guest list. It’s like the weather is running on pure chaos—much like the political scene.
The Meteorological Service has issued a yellow warning for severe storms from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM today. Expect isolated heavy storms, hail, and winds that will go from breezy to borderline aggressive (4-6 Beaufort). Rainfall could reach 35 to 55mm per hour, so if you’re heading out, consider a boat.

- Troodos might get snow, because apparently, we’re doing all four seasons in one week.
- Winds: Swirling indecisively between southwest and northwest, moderate to very strong.
- Temperatures: 20°C inland, 23°C on the east and southeast coasts, 18°C elsewhere, and a frosty 5°C in the mountains.

- Winds shifting but still keeping us on edge.
- Temperatures dropping to 6°C inland, 8°C on the coast, and -4°C in the mountains (yes, frost is expected).
Looking ahead:
- Thursday: Cold, cloudy, with rain and snow in the mountains—because why stop now?
- Friday & Saturday: A slow return to clearer skies, but clouds and possible light snow in Troodos just to keep things interesting.
- Temperatures: Plunging well below seasonal averages on Thursday, before making a comeback by Saturday.
