Police did not issue an official report but said officers managed to restrict the two suspects, one described by local media as Greek Cypriot and the other as Greek national with permanent residence in Paphos.

Knews understand that two men, who were already under arrest but not handcuffed, were being processed to spend the rest of the night in jail when the incident took place.

Police said the suspects, who could not explain where they got the laptops, were expected to appear before a judge on Tuesday in connection with destruction of property charges.

No injuries were reported following the incident at the police station.
