Cyprus records two new coronavirus cases

The island's two new cases involved a repatriated person and another person with travel history

The Health Ministry announced two new coronavirus cases on Monday, involving a repatriated person and a person with travel history.

The new cases, which were among a bulk of 1,290 samples checked for the virus on Monday, raised the total coronavirus cases recorded in the Republic of Cyprus to 996.

The repatriated person was found positive for the virus a pool of a total of 766 airport arrivals were tested.

On Monday, the Famagusta General Hospital discharged one coronavirus patient, and admitted another.
