Cyprus’ positive epidemiological course paved the way for the Health Ministry to expedite the easing of restriction measures, with outdoor concerts and theatre performances to be permitted to take place as of July 1.
The Health Ministry clarified that concerts will only be permitted to take place at outdoor amphitheatres.
Indoor cinemas and theatres will also be able to open their doors to the public come Wednesday.
According to health and safety guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, organizers of cultural events are required to pre-sell tickets in order to avoid clustering for the purchase of tickets on the days of events.
Event organizers will also be responsible for calculating the maximum number of attendees based on the size of the premises, and must ensure that audience members are seated at appropriate distances.
Additional guidelines were issued in view of preventing bottlenecks, and ensuring staff are obliged to take the necessary protective measures.
