Tech leaders and media moguls were front and center at the inauguration of President-elect Trump today. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and Apple CEO Tim Cook attended a service at St. John's Church, where they were seen chatting. Other notable figures included Google CEO Sundar Pichai, TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew, and FIFA President Gianni Infantino. Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Tesla CEO Elon Musk were also present, with Musk seen talking to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
The service also drew media personalities like Joe Rogan and Rupert Murdoch, along with political figures such as former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. Trump’s cabinet picks, including Marco Rubio, arrived for the ceremony, as did Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, who were tapped to co-lead the Department of Government Efficiency.
As the service ended, preparations for the luncheon began inside the Capitol. Guests began to settle in, including Bezos and Zuckerberg, who had name cards at the tables. Following the event, Trump met with outgoing President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, with both couples exchanging pleasantries before heading to the Capitol for the formal inauguration.
The inauguration marks a shift in leadership, with Trump set to take office at noon ET.
