Man critical after brothers beat him up following road rage incident involving their wives

Two men and their spouses have been detained following a vicious attack against an Egyptian male who was found in very bad shape in Paphos.

According to police, two men aged 36 and 23, were arrested on Monday evening along with two women, aged 32 and 38, after a man was hospitalized in serious condition.

Knews understands the victim was driving in the area when he got involved in a road incident with the two women in the other vehicle

Local media said a 42-year-old Egyptian man was assaulted by two Lebanese males, who tracked him down and attacked him in an area between Acheleia and Timi near the coast in Paphos.

On Green Monday, around 4pm, the man was rushed to the Emergency Room at Paphos General Hospital, where doctors said he had suffered a serious head injury including internal bleeding.

Local media said the two attackers, described as brothers married to Cypriot sisters, assaulted the man after one of the wives reportedly said she was harassed by the victim.

Knews understands the victim was driving in an area when he got involved in a road incident with the two women in the other vehicle.

Police sources told Knews a remand hearing was very likely in the case, involving charges of conspiracy, aggravated assault, and causing grievous bodily harm.
