The British government has updated its travel advice for Cyprus, introducing a more favourable assessment of the security situation on the island.
In the latest revision issued on 18 June, references to ongoing regional tensions have been removed. The guidance now points to a memorandum of understanding announced by the United States and Iran, while advising British nationals to remain aware of the possibility that conflict could resume in neighbouring parts of the region.
The change marks the second recent adjustment to the UK's travel recommendations concerning Cyprus. Following this latest update, the travel advice has effectively returned to its pre-crisis position, reflecting improved conditions and a reduced perception of risk for visitors.
