A 54-year-old woman is in critical condition after a collision between a car and a scooter Friday afternoon in Nicosia, police said.
The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. on Nikis Avenue. According to authorities, the woman was riding a personal mobility scooter when she was struck by a car driven by a 23-year-old man.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, and the woman was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where she was admitted to the intensive care unit.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
