Body of Tunisian female, aged 34, discovered by next of kin in Pallouriotissa

A 34-year-old woman was found dead in her Nicosia apartment on Thursday, with police responding to a call about an unconscious female in Pallouriotissa on Thursday afternoon.

According to media reports, the woman’s next to kin had worried as they had not heard from her in a while. They decided to go search for the Tunisia-born woman, as she was described in some reports, and discovered her body when they entered her apartment near the Kaimakli borough.

Authorities were immediately notified and police officers who rushed to the scene determined the woman had been dead.

No sings of foul play

A state forensic pathologist, who arrived on the scene and conducted an on-site autopsy, ruled out foul play on the basis of preliminary findings as no external injuries were visible.

The exact cause of death is expected to be known following a post mortem at Nicosia General Hospital.
