A yellow weather warning has been issued for Cyprus, alerting residents to a period of unsettled conditions that will affect the island from Tuesday night through Wednesday night. According to the Meteorological Department, the warning is in force from 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday until 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

The forecast calls for widespread rainfall accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and strong to very strong winds. Wind strength is expected to reach force 6 to 7 on the Beaufort scale, with the most severe conditions likely along coastal areas and in mountainous regions. During thunderstorms, hail is also possible.

Meteorologists warn that rainfall totals could be significant, with some areas receiving more than 55 millimeters of rain within a 24-hour period, increasing the risk of localized flooding and difficult weather conditions.
