A major road improvement project is underway on a section of Archbishop Makarios III Avenue, with the contractor Panath Construction Ltd tasked to complete the work within ten months. The €1,474,340.60 project, co-financed by the municipalities of Paphos and Yeroskipou, aims to enhance traffic flow and road safety for local residents.
The contract, signed today at the Paphos Municipal Hall, marks a collaborative effort between the two municipalities to upgrade a key arterial road serving both communities.
The mayors of Paphos and Ierokipia said in a joint statement that the project is part of their ongoing cooperation to improve essential infrastructure and ensure safer, smoother travel for residents and visitors alike.
Once completed, the upgrade is expected to significantly boost road safety, improve traffic circulation, and enhance the overall appearance and functionality of the area.
