Baker Tilly South East Europe Annual Regional Tax Conference
Baker Tilly South East Europe operates under one umbrella in Cyprus, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova.
On Friday 8 March 2019 it held its Annual Regional Tax Conference in Nicosia.
Representatives from all the countries attended the event and had the opportunity to be updated on current tax developments on each of these countries, as well as on EU and International Tax developments on direct and indirect taxes.
In addition to an update on the local tax changes in each country, the tax experts of Baker Tilly had the opportunity to be updated on issues relating to the double tax treaty application, the implementation of the EU Anti – Tax Avoidance Directive, developments on double tax treaty shopping and the implementation of the OECD Multilateral Instrument provisions, issues on exchange of information between tax administrations and on the increase substance requirements which affect the tax residency of companies.
Finally, the professionals had the opportunity to be involved in real tax structuring scenarios and on hand experience in advising clients.
