BlackRock Becomes The Second-Largest Shareholder of Freedom Holding Corp.

Freedom Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: FRHC), a global financial services and technology company and the parent company of the Freedom24 investment platform, announced that BlackRock has increased its stake in the company to 0.85%, investing about $89 million. The world’s largest investment firm is now the second-largest shareholder after founder and CEO Timur Turlov.

According to Bloomberg, during the latest reporting period BlackRock acquired an additional 443,965 shares of Freedom Holding, bringing its total ownership to 520,565 shares. Other leading institutional investors include State Street Corp., Grace Partners of DuPage L.P., and Geode Capital Management. Collectively, this reflects a growing recognition of Freedom Holding Corp.’s strong market position and long-term growth strategy.

BlackRock, founded in 1988 in New York, manages more than $12.5 trillion in assets as of 2025 and is globally recognized for its iShares ETFs and Aladdin investment management and risk analytics platform. Its decision to increase its position underscores the confidence of the world’s largest asset manager in Freedom Holding’s international expansion and development of its financial ecosystem.

Freedom Holding Corp. continues to demonstrate strong results: revenue for the 2025 fiscal year reached $2.05 billion, up 23% year-over-year, while net profit totaled $84.5 million. Assets also grew from $8.3 billion to $9.9 billion. In Kazakhstan, the group is actively developing a broad ecosystem that includes Freedom Bank, Freedom Broker, Freedom Life, and Freedom Insurance, alongside digital lifestyle services such as Arbuz.kz, Freedom Ticketon, and Aviata.
