The legendary rock band Scorpions will be performing at Tsirio stadium, in Limassol on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. In honor of the release of their first album 50 years ago, the band is on a world tour promoting the release of their new album "Rock Believer".
One of the longest-lasting and most successful rock bands of all time, the Scorpions kicked off their tour in Las Vegas where they will play for several nights until the 16th of April. They then head to Europe with concerts lined up in many countries such as Germany, Denmark, Portugal, France and Italy, to name a few, before visiting Cyprus.
They will cap off their tour in Germany where the band was formed in Hanover in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker.
The Scorpions are estimated to have sold over 100 million records around the world, making them one of the best-selling hard rock and heavy metal bands. One of their most recognized hits is "Wind of Change", a symbolic anthem of the political changes in Eastern Europe in the late 1980s and early 1990s and the fall of the Berlin Wall, and it remains one of the best-selling singles in the world with over 14 million copies.
