On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the iconic Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis (1925–2025), the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts and the University of Limassol, with the support of the Municipality of Limassol and media sponsor CyBC (ΡΙΚ), are organizing a three-day tribute in his memory from 2 to 4 September 2025.

Classical Music Concert
Pattihio Municipal Theatre of Limassol
Featuring classical works by Mikis Theodorakis.
Performers: Limassol Municipal Symphony Orchestra, Theodoros Kerkezos (saxophone), Andreas Kerkezos (violin), Matina Velimachiti (soprano), Nikos Pittas (violin), Manolis Neophytou (piano).

Art Music Concert: “The Mikis We Loved”

An evening of beloved art and folk songs by Mikis Theodorakis.
Performers: Doros Demosthenous (vocals), Annita Constantinou (vocals), Christos Alexandrou Folk Orchestra.

Historical Archives of Limassol
Theme: The work, ideas, and legacy of Mikis Theodorakis through the bibliography and publications on his life and achievements.
