LOT 15
SPYROS VASILIOU, Acrylic with gold on canvas, (comes with guarantee), 80 X 100 cm.
Spyros Vasiliou, one of the most emblematic figures of 20th-century Greek painter, was born in 1903 in Galaxidi and studied in Athens on a scholarship at the School of Fine Arts of the National Technical University of Athens. From his very first works, he demonstrated a personal visual language that combined a return to the roots of Greek art with creative dialogues with European modernism, as it was perceived by the artistic community of Athens.
Vasiliou's painting is characterized by the particular sensitivity with which he approaches the natural and urban landscape, as well as scenes of social life. With a lyrical and dreamy mood, he unites the scholarly with the popular element, weaving a visual narrative where tradition meets modernity. His works are simultaneously a form of poetic commentary on everyday life, offering a unique view of the world that surrounds him.
The above work has been estimated at €20,000-24,000 with a starting price of € 9,000

LOT 40
AGGELOS, OIL PAINTING ON CANVAS, 120 X 150 cm.
AGGELOS had the opportunity to explore the complex world of visual creation under the guidance of George Mavroidis from 1962 to 1967. With the ambition to overcome modern trends and reconnect with ancient art, such as the Renaissance and Baroque in particular, he displays a style that highlights the human factor and the world with a realistic approach. With his supernatural lighting, he reshapes the elements in his creations and transforms them into works of unique brightness. In the subjects he chooses to address, he focuses mainly on the human factor and nature. AGGELOS works are in public and private collections both in Greece and abroad.
The above work has been estimated at €40,000-50,000 with a starting price of €18,000

LOT 60
ORLINSKI RICHARD, Resin Sculpture (comes with certificate), 120 X 65 cm
Richard Orlinski was born in 1966 in Paris, studied at the National School of Fine Arts in Neuilly-sur-Seine, where he decided to become a sculptor.
He began his artistic creation in the 2000s. In his artistic work, the main theme is the concept of "Born Wild©", in which artists seek to transform negative impulses into positive emotions. Inspired by the conventions of Pop Art, he works largely with industrial materials, such as resin and aluminum, as well as marble, stone and bronze. His favorite subjects include monumental and decorative animals, often compared to Jeff Koons and Robert Indiana. Since 2010, he has been ranked among the top 10 best-selling French artists in the world by Art Price. His best-known sculptures include crocodiles, gorillas and panthers, as well as other works that seek to reflect the most instinctive and impulsive parts of human nature and to refine these impulses through the pursuit of perfection.
The above work has been estimated at €50,000-55,000 with a starting price of €24,000
