Authorities are set to investigate the cause of a car fire that broke out early Tuesday morning in the Larnaca district community of Anafotia.
According to Fire Service spokesperson Andreas Kettis, the incident occurred at approximately 5:32 a.m. on October 28. Two fire engines from the EMAK unit were dispatched after reports of a vehicle burning in an open area beside the owner’s home.
Before firefighters arrived, the vehicle’s owner managed to bring the blaze under control using a garden hose. Fire crews later ensured the fire was fully extinguished and inspected the site for safety.
The car sustained significant interior damage, though no injuries were reported. The Fire Service, in collaboration with the Police, will carry out an investigation later today to determine what sparked the fire.
