A weak low-pressure system will bring partly cloudy skies and scattered showers to Cyprus today, with a possibility of isolated thunderstorms. Early in the day, rain is most likely along the western and northern coasts, while later, the mountains, inland areas, and the eastern regions may see some wet weather.
Winds will blow from the southwest to northwest, light to moderate, reaching 3 to 4 Beaufort. Seas are expected to be rough at times. Daytime temperatures will reach around 22°C in both coastal and inland areas, while the higher mountains will remain cooler at around 10°C.
As the evening sets in, the skies will stay partly cloudy. Winds will shift to a northwest-to-northeast direction, easing to 3 Beaufort, and the seas will calm down, becoming calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will dip to 10°C inland, 13°C on the coast, and 5°C in the higher mountains.
Wednesday and Thursday will continue with partly cloudy skies and the chance of isolated showers at times. By Friday, expect more cloud cover and localized showers, with isolated thunderstorms likely, especially in the afternoon.
Temperatures are on a gradual rise and will likely sit slightly above seasonal averages as the week progresses.
