UNSG Deputy Spokesperson, Farhan Haq, confirmed today during the Press Briefing, at UNHQ in New York that UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy on Cyprus, Maria Angela Holguin, will travel to Cyprus to continue her contacts in the aim of finding common ground between the two sides.
Asked by CNA whether Holgin's trip is planned and whether there is a timetable of her contacts on the island, Farhan Haq said “yes, certainly, her trip in Cyprus is planned” and added that “once we have, any dates to share, we'll let you know”.
