Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides will hold talks on Friday in Moscow with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, where the two men are expected to discuss bilateral relations, the Cyprus problem, regional issues and EU-Russia relations.
Christodoulides, who flies on Thursday to Russia on an official visit, is expected to brief Lavrov on the status of the Cyprus problem, according to CNA.
The Cypriot FM is also expected to brief his Russian counterpart on the recent informal dinner between President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci. Christodoulides will also reiterate the Greek Cypriot side`s readiness for the resumption of the UN-led negotiations aiming at a political settlement, according to CNA.
After their meeting, the two ministers will make statements to the press and then attend a working lunch.
