Dusty atmosphere holds firm until midweek

High pressure system brings hazy skies through Wednesday

A high-pressure system is influencing the region, bringing with it sparse dust particles suspended in the atmosphere until Wednesday.

Today, expect mainly sunny weather with occasional increased cloud cover. Winds will predominantly blow from the northeast to the east, ranging from moderate at 4 Beaufort to occasionally strong at 5 Beaufort in prefrontal areas. Seas will be slightly to locally moderately rough. Temperatures will rise to around 19 degrees Celsius inland, approximately 20 degrees along the coast, and 11 degrees in higher mountainous areas.

Tonight, the weather will remain mainly clear. Winds will be mainly light to moderate, blowing from the north to the northeast at 3 to 4 Beaufort. Seas will be slightly to moderately rough. Temperatures will drop to around 8 degrees Celsius inland, about 10 degrees along the coast, and around 4 degrees in higher mountainous regions.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will see mainly sunny conditions, although Wednesday may see intermittent high cloud cover.

Temperatures will gradually rise, significantly exceeding average climatological values.
