The European Union sends support to Greece to combat fires, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said in a post on X platform on Monday.
‘’We stand with Greece as it battles devastating fires. The EU is sending support from its #rescEU fleet: two planes from Italy and a helicopter from France,’’ von de Leyen wrote.
‘’Firefighting teams from Czechia and Romania are also being deployed. This is #EUSolidarity in action,’’ she concluded.
