Police in Nicosia are investigating the murder of a 24-year-old foreigner, the details of which cannot be disclosed.
According to a police statement, last Monday, January 6, 2025, at 21:15, the police received information from a member of the public that there was a dead person in an open area in Nicosia.
Members of the police and an ambulance went to the scene and after it was established that the man found was dead, he was transferred to the morgue of the Nicosia General Hospital.
The man was a 24-year-old foreigner, whose details cannot be released.
A coroner was called to the scene and an autopsy was carried out.
Today, Friday, a autopsy was performed on the body and it was determined that the 24-year-old's death was caused by internal bleeding caused by a firearm bullet.
Evidence was taken from the body to be sent for scientific examination.
The Nicosia CID is investigating the case.
