Fun in the sun (with a sprinkle of rain)

Get ready for a mix of clear skies and isolated rain across the region this weekend

Newsroom

Today, expect a mix of sun and clouds with intermittent bursts of excitement! Southern and eastern areas might see isolated showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon, while the west could also get a touch of rain. Winds will be blowing southwest to northwest, moderate to strong at 4 to 5 Beaufort, occasionally reaching very strong at 5 to 6 Beaufort on the southern coast. The sea will be generally rough, perfect for the adventurous at heart. Temperatures will rise to around 29°C inland and on the southeast and east coast, 26°C on the rest of the coast, and a cooler 20°C in the higher mountains.

Tonight, the skies will clear up mostly, with some patchy clouds hanging around. Winds will shift to a gentle southwest to northwest breeze at 3 to 4 Beaufort, calming down to 3 Beaufort overnight. The sea will become slightly choppy, though it might still be a bit rough in the west and north. Temperatures will dip to around 17°C inland, 18°C on the south and east coast, 19°C on the west and north coast, and a brisk 11°C in the higher mountains.

Saturday kicks off with mainly clear skies, but clouds will make a comeback after midday, possibly bringing isolated showers, especially in the mountains and southeast. Temperatures will climb to average for this time of year, making it a pleasant day for outdoor activities.

Sunday will be mostly clear during the day, with clouds increasing in the afternoon. By evening, expect a mix of medium to high clouds, with a chance of light, isolated showers. Temperatures will remain around the average climatic values, ideal for a relaxed Sunday.

Monday brings partly cloudy skies, especially with medium to high clouds. Isolated showers or thunderstorms are possible, and temperatures will drop slightly, but still pleasant enough to start the week on a good note.

Enjoy your weekend, whether it's under the sun or a passing shower!
