A multi-story office building in Germasogeia, Limassol, became the latest target of what police believe was a criminal attack after damage caused by gunfire was discovered on the premises.

According to the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (TAE), a cleaner alerted authorities after noticing damage to the building’s aluminum entrance and an interior wall.

The building, located on Profitis Elias Street, houses several companies.

Police officers rushed to the scene and secured the area, while initial examinations showed that the damage was likely caused by shots fired from a firearm.

Investigators believe the shooting took place sometime during the weekend, although the exact time and circumstances remain unclear.

Police are continuing their inquiries, including examining evidence from the scene and gathering information that could help identify those responsible.

The incident adds to growing concerns over criminal activity involving firearms in Limassol, where authorities have recently investigated a number of targeted attacks against businesses and individuals.
