Cypriot swimmer Karolina Pelendritou won the bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke final in the SB11 category at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games on Thursday evening. Pelendritou completed the race with a time of 1:21.64, securing third place behind Russia's Daria Lukianenko and China's Ma Jia.

Lukianenko took gold with a time of 1:18.31, while Ma Jia earned silver with a time of 1:19.24. Pelendritou's performance adds to her impressive Paralympic career, marking her second medal at the Paris Games following her silver in the 50m freestyle.

This bronze is Pelendritou’s eighth medal overall in Paralympic competition, solidifying her status as a leading athlete in the SB11 category. Her achievements at the Paris Paralympics continue to highlight her exceptional skill and determination on the global stage.
