Last night, Monday, 27th of July, at around 21:30 numerous people across cyprus looked up and spotted a bright meteor racing across the sky.
Luckily, Kitas weather was able to catch the moment on camera as they found a recording on one of their local cameras in Pera Pedi where the meteor can be clearly seen falling and creating a spectacle for Cypriots.
In Cyprus, meteors sightings are quite common, and as we are slowly approaching one of the most exciting meteor events of the year: the Perseid meteor shower on the 12th and 13th of August it will become even more common to see more meteors.
So, grab a blanket, find a dark spot and if you see a shooting star, make a wish.
