According to local media, 29-year-old Russian national Andrey Sergeyevich was killed on Saturday afternoon after the quad bike he was driving fell eight metres off a cliff in Cape Greco.

Sergeyevich was rushed to the Emergency Room at Famagusta General Hospital where doctors on duty pronounced him dead on arrival. His passenger, described as a 28-year-old male, was injured in the incident which took place in the afternoon around 2:30pm.

Reports said Sergeyevich, under circumstances pending investigation, lost control of the handlebar causing the quad bike to veer off course.
