A total of 1,084 people from Europe and other countries have arrived in Cyprus since the activation of the Special National Plan "Estia" until 12 noon on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
Following the regular update of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since the activation of the Special National Plan ESTIA in light of the emergency situation in the Middle East, it said, that from Tuesday, October 10 until 12 noon today, Tuesday, October 17, 2023, a total of 1,084 people from European and other countries have arrived in Cyprus. These include 157 people who arrived by sea at the port of Limassol on a passenger ship at 6 a.m. today, it adds.
The Ministry said that the stay of the persons in question in the country is short, with the majority having already departed.
It is noted that with the activation of the Special National Plan "Estia", there has been a permanent presence of representatives of all services at the ZENON Coordination Center in Larnaca, the Pafos airport and the ports of the Republic of Cyprus, while there was constant coordination with the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Cyprus in the region.
