A low pressure system is affecting areas over Cyprus, with the early part of Friday being mostly clear with low chances of rain over the weekend.
Friday skies will be mostly clear initially while clouds are expected to set in after noon, with low chances of rain later in the evening primarily along the coast.
Winds will range from weak to moderate while the sea is expected to be relatively calm.
Maximum high temperatures will reach 17° Celsius inland, around 16 degrees in all coastal regions, while it will be 7 degrees up in the highest elevations.
Minimum lows will drop down to 5° Celsius inland, around 7 in all coastal areas, while it will be minus two (-2) in the highest elevations where frost is expected to form.
Mixed weather is expected over the weekend and Monday, with periods of sunshine and clear weather punctuated by increasing clouds on and off.
There will be chances of weekend rain especially out west, in the north, and up in the mountains, while snow is also expected to fall.
The last measurement of the Troodos Square snow gauge was 24 inches, as recorded at 5am Friday morning.
