Police officers in Larnaca are being credited with potentially saving the life of a 32-year-old woman who collapsed in a public area on Thursday morning.

According to authorities, two Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers were driving toward the Larnaca Police Directorate shortly after 10:30 a.m. when they noticed a woman lying unconscious on Zenonos Street. They stopped immediately to assist.

Upon checking her condition, the officers observed alarming symptoms: she was unresponsive, her skin had taken on a bluish tint, and she was experiencing convulsions, signs consistent with a severe fainting episode.

The officers quickly administered first aid, helping stabilize her until she began to regain consciousness. At the same time, they called for emergency medical services. An ambulance arrived shortly after and transported her to Larnaca General Hospital.

Following medical evaluation and treatment, the woman, who is visiting Cyprus, was discharged from the hospital.

Police officials noted that officers receive ongoing first aid training and are certified first responders, with qualifications that are renewed every three years.
