Sirens sound across Israel as Iranian missile attacks continue

Missile strikes hit Tel Aviv in the escalating conflict; over a dozen injured, leaders trade warnings.

Air raid sirens blared across Israel on Friday night as Iranian missile attacks struck multiple locations, including Tel Aviv, where explosions were reported amid escalating hostilities between Iran and Israel.

The Iranian attacks are in response to recent Israeli strikes targeting Iranian military and nuclear sites, as well as major cities. The Israeli military has launched multiple waves of airstrikes in what officials describe as an ongoing military operation.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the offensive would continue “as long as necessary.”

The situation marks a significant escalation in tensions following Israel’s targeted killing of several senior Iranian military commanders and six nuclear scientists. In response, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a warning to Israel, stating it "must expect severe punishment" for what he called a “crime.”

Haaretz, an Israeli newspaper, reported that at least 15 people were injured in central Israel, including one person with moderate injuries, according to emergency services.

In Washington, U.S. President Donald Trump said it was not too late for Iran to halt the missile campaign by agreeing to a deal on its nuclear program. Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized that the United States is “not involved” in the Israeli strikes and warned Iran against targeting U.S. bases in the region.
