Larnaca authorities uncover forgery in checkbook theft probe

A 29-year-old resident of Larnaca admitted to a total of eight burglary and theft cases, according to authorities. The arrest came as part of an investigation into forgery, circulation of fake documents, and attempted fraud.

The individual was apprehended shortly after midnight today during a coordinated operation led by Larnaca Police, following a judicial arrest warrant issued against him for an investigation into the theft of checkbooks from a company in Larnaca last February.

Upon his arrest, authorities found and seized incriminating evidence including a folding knife, a pair of gloves, and a mask.

During questioning, the 29-year-old allegedly confessed to committing eight additional burglary and theft cases in Larnaca between January 1st and February 28th of this year.

Larnaca Police continue their investigations into the matter.
