Authorities responded promptly to a complaint filed by minor girls on Wednesday afternoon, accusing an unknown man of indecent assault in a Nicosia park.
According to the complaint, the minors were walking in the park when an unidentified man approached them, engaging in obscene gestures. The quick-thinking girls managed to escape the situation and promptly reported the incident to their parents, who immediately notified the authorities.
Law enforcement officers swiftly arrived at the scene, conducting extensive searches, leading to the identification of the suspect by the minor girls as the alleged perpetrator.
Today, the suspect appeared before the Nicosia District Court, where he was remanded in custody for six days.
