The Green Agenda Cyprus Summit, the largest conference dedicated to sustainable development, returns to Nicosia on June 4, 2026, under the central theme “Transition as a responsibility (not a trend)," bringing together leading voices from the fields of sustainability and innovation. Among this year’s speakers is Theodoros Loukaidis, director general of the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF).
In his opening address, Loukaidis will focus on how Cyprus can move beyond talking about change and begin actively implementing and leading it. He will highlight the growing importance of research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology as key drivers of a stronger and more competitive economy.
He will also present how the Research and Innovation Foundation supports innovative businesses, including those developing sustainability-focused solutions, helping them transform ideas into practical projects with real-world impact. His presentation will explore how innovation can contribute to a more resilient, sustainable, and future-ready Cyprus.
