The organizing committee of the Green Agenda Cyprus Summit 2025 has announced that internationally acclaimed futurist and green energy expert Ramez Naam will be one of the headline speakers at this year’s sustainable development conference, taking place on May 19, 2025, at the Hilton Nicosia.
Recognized as one of the leading global voices on the Green Transition, Naam is an angel investor in climate-tech startups and serves as Head of Energy and Environment at the renowned Singularity University. He is also the author of The Nexus Trilogy and a former technology innovator at Microsoft, where he played key roles in the development of Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Bing.
A passionate advocate for the economic sustainability of green energy, Naam is known for his data-driven insights and practical, forward-thinking approach. His work bridges theory and real-world application—he actively advises and invests in companies focused on climate solutions and clean energy innovation. He is also the founder of Apex Nano Technologies, the first company fully dedicated to software for molecular design and development.
Originally from Cairo and now based in Seattle, Naam is a five-time award-winning author and a regular speaker at TEDx conferences around the globe.
