Today
Think of it as sunny with commitment issues. The sky will be partly cloudy, sometimes sliding into mainly cloudy territory. After midday a few isolated showers or a grumpy little thunderstorm may crash the party, mostly up in the mountains, inland and across the north.
Winds start light and undecided (force 3), then settle into a polite south-westerly to north-westerly breeze (force 3 to 4). The sea stays calm and well-behaved.
Temperatures rise to a comfortable 30 °C inland, around 28 °C on the southern and eastern coasts, 27 °C on the western and northern coasts, and a crisp 19 °C up in the highest peaks.
This evening
Clouds may thicken now and then, with a chance of isolated showers along the western and northern coasts. Winds shift to north-westerly to north-easterly and stay light (force 3). The sea goes from slight to almost glass.
Wednesday to Friday
The clouds take centre stage. Mainly cloudy skies with local showers and the odd isolated thunderstorm popping up at intervals.
Temperatures begin their gentle slide from Wednesday, with a small bounce back on Friday, but stay a touch cooler than the usual seasonal numbers.
Still short-sleeve weather for most of us, just maybe keep a light layer handy for those mountain spots or evening showers.
